This coffee was grown and harvested in the Hafursa waro (village) of the Gedeo district in the Yirgacheffe zone in Ethiopia. They are the product of many local, small-scale farms that sit between 1900-2100 MASL, beneath the shade of Acacia, Birbirra and Wanza trees.

 

The fresh, ripe cherries are collected for hulling at the Kumulachew Washing Station compound, where they are placed on drying beds for 15-21 days until they reach the optimum moisture level for export
