Spring Gather Blend (Espresso)
Spring Gather Blend (Espresso)
Spring Edition. Because winter's done and this coffee knows it.
We brought together three exceptional coffees for this season's blend, each one chosen to deliver exactly what a spring morning deserves: brightness, sweetness and that lift you get when the mornings start getting lighter again.
In the cup: butter biscuit, strawberry jam and blueberry. Sweet, juicy and easy drinking, without tipping into sharp or sour.
Flavour notes
Butter Biscuit. Strawberry Jam. Blueberry.
Three origins. Three processes. One properly good spring blend.
What's in the blend?
Ethiopia — Guji Buku, Natural
Guji Buku comes from smallholder farmers around Buku Sayisa in Ethiopia's Guji Zone, grown at serious altitude in a region known for producing some of the country's most aromatic natural process coffees. The cherries are dried whole on raised beds, which concentrates the fruit character right through to the cup. This is where the strawberry jam and blueberry in the blend come from, big, ripe berry sweetness that anchors the whole thing.
Ethiopia — Banko Gotiti, Washed
Banko Gotiti is a small village in the Gedeb district of Ethiopia's Gedeo Zone, right in the heart of what's classically known as Yirgacheffe country. Hundreds of smallholder farmers deliver cherry to the local washing station, where it's fully washed and dried slowly on raised beds. Washed Ethiopians like this bring the clarity and delicate sweetness, the kind of clean, refined character that keeps the blend from tipping too far into heavy fruit.
Kenya — Kimanai, Washed AB
This AB grade lot comes from smallholder farmers in one of Kenya's high altitude coffee growing regions, where volcanic soil and careful washed processing produce coffee with real structure and brightness. Kenyan AB lots are known for their lively acidity and depth, and here that shows up as a buttery, biscuity backbone that rounds the blend out and gives it some weight.
You've got questions, we've got answers.
Is this espresso or filter?
Roasted for espresso, but it pulls beautifully as a long black, milk based drink or stovetop too. The butter biscuit body holds up well under milk, while the strawberry jam and blueberry still poke through. Flat white drinkers who want something a bit brighter than usual are going to love this one.
How long will it be available?
Spring Edition is available while stock lasts and won't be replaced once it's gone. Like every seasonal release, it's here for a window and then it's gone until next year.
Is it too light or too fruity for an everyday coffee?
Not at all. The Kenya keeps things grounded with real body, while the two Ethiopians bring the fruit and florals without ever tipping into sour or thin. It's bright and lively, but still a proper, satisfying everyday cup.
Roasted fresh, shipped fast.
