Winter Gather Blend Vol 2 (Espresso)
Winter Gather Blend Vol 2 (Espresso)
Winter Edition Vol 2. Because Vol 1 sold out before we were ready to say goodbye.
We brought together three exceptional coffees for this year's winter blend — each one chosen to deliver exactly what a cold morning deserves: warmth, depth and that quiet satisfaction of a cup that's just right.
In the cup: maple syrup, berry jam and chocolate nougat. Rich, sweet and indulgent — without being heavy or one-dimensional.
Flavour notes
Maple Syrup. Berry Jam. Chocolate Nougat.
Three origins. Three processes. One seriously good winter blend.
What's in the blend?
Costa Rica — Las Lajas Micromill, Alma Negra Natural
Oscar and Francisca Chacón are third-generation producers from Costa Rica's Central Valley who essentially invented the Alma Negra process — a slow, carefully controlled natural where cherries move between greenhouse and raised beds for 20–30 days to develop an almost candy-like sweetness. Only the ripest cherries with the highest sugar content make the cut. This is where the maple syrup and nougat character in the blend comes from.
Rwanda — Gishamwana Island, COOPAC Anaerobic Natural (2025 Harvest)
A short boat ride from Rwanda's Lake Kivu shoreline sits Gishamwana Island — 35,000 coffee trees grown organically, processed on-site, and completely isolated from the diseases and pests that affect mainland coffee. The island's natural shade canopy and Fair Trade-certified cooperative behind it (COOPAC, 8,000 members strong) produce a fruit-forward Bourbon with the berry jam depth that anchors this blend perfectly. Fresh 2025 harvest.
Brazil — Monte Verde Natural
Brazil brings the body. Monte Verde naturals are known for their chocolate richness, low acidity and that smooth, full mouthfeel that makes a winter blend feel like a winter blend. It's the foundation everything else sits on — and it does its job quietly and completely.
You've got questions, we've got answers.
Is this espresso or filter?
Roasted for espresso, but it pulls beautifully as a long black, milk-based drink or even a stovetop. The maple syrup sweetness and nougat body hold up brilliantly with milk — flat white drinkers are going to love this one.
How long will it be available?
Vol 1 sold out fast. We're not being dramatic — it genuinely went before most people had a chance. Vol 2 is available while stock lasts and won't be replaced once it's gone. Winter Edition is exactly that — seasonal, limited and not coming back until next year.
Is it too heavy or dark for everyday drinking?
Not at all. The Costa Rica and Rwanda keep it lively and sweet — there's brightness and fruit in here alongside the chocolate depth. It's rich without being roasty, indulgent without being overwhelming. This is every-morning coffee that happens to taste special.
Roasted fresh, shipped fast.
Roasted five days a week, dispatched daily before 1pm. Every bag stamped with the roast date. Winter Edition coffee deserves to arrive fresh — and it will.
No grinder? No worries.
Choose your brew method at checkout and we'll grind to suit. Espresso grind works for most machines, stovetops and plungers.
